Speaking at IMEX 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany
Nadine Spitteler got to speak on Email Overload and her strategies how to avoid it. Challenging commonly accepted office communication and our use of the available technology. Covering practical strategies you can start using now.

Use your subject line. Focus on essentials: Content, action needed, deadlines.
In the second section we graduate to the body of the email. How are you putting your thoughts into email? Acknowledging that there are different preferences, in our information overloaded world, overstimulated brains and under rested minds Nadine believes in short, precise clear communication. Don't leave your most important bit till the end. You are not at court, building a case.

At the end of the presentation using Slido, a life pooling application that allows to get answers from the audience right away, we learned we copy each other in, to keep everyone informed and we feel it is important to let them know. However ultimately no one really reads the emails. We simply don't have the time. Perhaps 20 years ago, the strategy to use email to keep each other in the loop worked well. Today, Nadine believes we have to upgrade to other tools, and take clear actions aligned with what we need to achieve to ultimately reach our common coals.

In-house or outsourcing, Panel discussion at PCMA CIC 2017
November 2017

Panel discussion about the new forces shaping the decision to in-house or outsource during the PCMA CIC in Niagara Falls

Technological convergence, social media, education on-demand, and new legislations about pharmaceutical sponsorship in medical meetings have been affecting the decision to either in-house or outsource meeting planning services.

This is a trending topic and was the subject of debate by distinguished panellists Daniel Lalonde, Executive Director at Health Technology Assessment International (HTAi), Christina Mills, Congress & Meetings Manager at World Federation of Hemophilia, and Gail Brathwaite, Meeting Manager at Endress Hauser. ... learn more here.
AIDS 2016 taking place in Durban, South Africa
July 2016
A111 team migrated to Durban, South Africa working on the 21st International AIDS Conference, taking place in Durban, South Africa.
With a team of seven members coming together from North America, Thailand and Australia and our two interns we set out to take care of the accommodation service for our 5000 booked guests, as well as request on-site. The conference coming back to Durban for the 2nd time, was anticipated to have an all time high attendance. The hotel negotiations three years earlier were difficult as the destination was familiar with the event since its last visit in 2000.

Being in touch with hotels ranging form the Hilton next door to properties in Pietermaritzburg, about 1h travel inland from Durban, we coordinated with over 60 properties and 20 B&B to deliver a successful conference experience.

The Durban Hotels were fabulous, everyone was on their top game. The people in Durban are extremely friendly and very welcoming. If you are looking for an experienced conference partner for an international event in South Africa, don't hesitate to get in touch with us.
